IT Support Specialist

One of our clients operating in the IT industry is looking for an IT Support Specialist to provide hardware and software end-user support to their varied clients around the island. The ideal candidate has to be fully committed and a trustworthy individual, mature to handle different types of clients and situations on his/her own.

Main responsibilities

• Assisting users with hardware and software problems.
• Implementing, maintaining and managing desktop computers, laptops, printers and other hardware.
• Manage and escalate user queries.
• Installation and maintenance of servers.
• Assisting mostly physically at clients’ offices and also remotely, according to needs at hand.

Requirements:

1+ year experience in a similar role
Team player who is ambitious and motivated
Excellent interpersonal skills and patience working with others
Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Must have excellent communication skills
Good level of communication in English and preferably in Maltese
Ability to lift and move equipment as required
Valid driving license
Clean police conduct

Technical requirements:

Experience in setting up and maintenance of Microsoft 365 products
Administrative knowledge and experience of Microsoft back-office products including (but not limited to) Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022, Windows 10 / 11, Active Directory, Exchange Servers, understanding of Networking Directory Services, Microsoft ADS, LDAP, TCP/IP DHCP, DNS, WINS. Knowledge on MAC OS would be an asset
Hands on experience in desk side troubleshooting (PCs, Printers, Mobiles and Tablets), Cat5e/Cat6 cable termination & testing
Application support experience of MS Office / MS Office 365, Sage, Corporate Anti-Virus, Remote Desktop Support, setup of VPNs, Corporate Backup Software
Knowledge of Virtual environments mainly Hyper-V
Knowledge of Mikrotiks and VoIP systems would be an asset
